The writing style was horrible I thought, short choppy sentences and dumb wording that left you thinking, what? Written by First of all, I'd like to say that I watched 7 eps. It was the Sect that assisted her cousin in overthrowing Riese's family; the rightful holders of the crown of Elysia. It was said to be Game of Thrones meet steam-punk which was different. She sends Fenrir into the woods for his own protection and finds a nearby township called Helmkin. Until then, this book is going to be a stand-alone and I recommend you read this at your own peril. I wanted to love this, but alas, cannot. The Kingdom of the Wolf, Eleysia was once prosperous due largely to the influence of Empress Kara and Emperor Ulric. This book was really excellent and I enjoyed it immensely. I thought cool, a book about a strong female character. I hated it and I hate the people who made it for trying to cash in on steampunk. Riese: Kingdom Falling focuses on the trip undertaken by the daughter of a deposed monarchy of the fictional land of Eleysia; Riese, the daughter of the deposed King and Queen travels the land persued by the members of a fanatical religious group known as The Sect. Riese is a princess of the kingdom of Asgard, forced into war by neighboring kingdoms and aided by the mysterious Sect, a religious organization that Riese doesn't fully trust. Unfortunately, I'll have to watch the series in order to hopefully learn the conclusion to this story.

I really loved the concept, the character and the world. Also that the book Author Greg Cox did such an amazing job creating the female character of Riese, that I honestly spent the whole book believing it had been written by a woman due to the female perspective featured throughout. Riese is a Princess and soon to be Queen of Asgard and Eleysia.

Her past is shrouded in mystery, as even Riese can't recall the events of the tragic night when her entire family was slaughtered and she was forced to flee into the wilderness. The series won the Streamy Award for Best Cinematography in a Web Series with a further three nominations for Best Sound Design, Best Foreign Series and Art Direction.
